Teach Evidence-Based Classes, Improve Your Client Care, and Grow Your Business

Imagine what could change in just a few months…
When you add the right classes and support to your business, things can look very different.

→ From unpredictable client flow to steady interest and full classes
→ From exhaustion and burnout to clarity and balance
→ From feeling like you’re on your own → to being part of a supportive community of instructors
→ From wondering “what else can I offer?” to delivering sought-after classes that families love

The Method™ is the program that helps you get there.

The Method™ is our signature instructor certification, created by longtime doula and midwife Emily Wannenburg.

It equips you to teach two evidence-based classes families are asking for most: Prep4Birth™ and Postpartum Recovery®.

With a ready-to-use curriculum, ongoing mentorship, and a community of instructors alongside you, The Method™ gives you everything you need to:

  • Grow your doula business and expand your impact

  • Offer services that families truly value

  • Create a practice that supports you as much as you support your clients

Flexible Learning, Built for Your Life

When you enroll in The Method™, you’ll get immediate access to the full self-paced curriculum plus one full year of membership included in your certification fee.

That means you can start learning right away on your own schedule and join any live cohort during your first year — with the option to keep participating in future rounds as long as your membership is active.

You’ll never have to choose between self-paced convenience and live mentorship. With The Method™, you get both.

Why Doulas Choose 4TFM Certification

  • More income: many instructors recoup their investment after one full class.

  • More referrals: offer in-demand classes most doulas don’t.

  • More impact: support clients through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

  • More support: mentorship, marketing tools, and ongoing education included.

“By far the biggest level up in my doula business has come with my 4th Trimester Fitness Method certification! It is the most amazing method for prenatal and postpartum classes… biggest bang for my buck by far!”

— Rebecca McKinney, 4TFM Instructor, Florida, USA

What You’ll Learn Inside The Method™

  • Prep4Birth is a childbirth preparation class designed specifically for pregnant individuals to learn how to effectively use birth balls, peanut balls, and CUBs (Comfortable Upright Birth) to enhance physical and mental preparation for labor and birth. This evidence based 3-hour class will teach the participants exercises and positions that promote optimal fetal positioning, relieve discomfort, and support an active labor. Additionally, you'll be teaching techniques to stay relaxed and focused, empowering your participants with the confidence and tools needed for a smoother birthing experience.

    CECs: ICEA 7 hours

  • The 6-weeks Postpartum Recovery class is designed for early postpartum moms and their babies, focusing on physical recovery exercises and essential education on pelvic and core health. Participants will engage in evidence based, progressive yet gentle workouts tailored to support healing and regain strength, while also learning about common postpartum experiences and how to navigate them. This supportive environment helps new mothers connect, share, and recover both physically and emotionally.

  • The virtual learning experience was phenomenal. Having an online course to re-watch/read over and over again paired with live zoom instruction by Emily that gets into all the nitty-gritty details made it so I could personally use many different learning strategies and feel confident and competent in my ability to now teach my clients this empowering course.

    Alyssa Ramage, Prep4Birth Instructor, California

  • I love Emily's teaching style because she makes sure instructors understand multiple ways to explain information and techniques to our students, common mistakes they may make and how to correct them, and provides information in multiple ways such as images, video, and text to meet the needs of all sorts of learners.

Kelly Kolb, Postpartum Recovery Instructor, Pennsylvania
